B Sharp Trainee Music Educator Mentoring Programme

What does the programme involve?
This is a 1 year paid mentoring programme for aspiring music educators/leaders who are interested in developing their career and their skills in working in music with young people aged 0 – 25.
You will have opportunities to experience working in a variety of settings and groups across the year, with support and mentoring from a professional experienced music leader from the B Sharp team.
You will be supported to develop your music leadership skills and confidence.
Fees
The role is for 6 hours per week, for 35 weeks, for which we can offer a bursary fee is £3675.
Weekly hours will be arranged with you around your other commitments.
This is a freelance contract, and you will be responsible for your own tax and national insurance.
Who should apply?
This mentoring programme is suitable for anyone who is interested in music leadership/education as part of their future career, and who wants to use music to make a difference. You will need strong musical skills, and an interest in passing on your skills and your interest and enthusiasm for music to the next generation. You will need an openness to working with young people from a range of backgrounds and circumstances, including those that are vulnerable.
