Listen Up!

Our recent Listen Up! project aimed to transform anxiety about climate change into a dynamic campaign through the art of original songwriting.

Our passionate young people partnered with our B Sharp Music leaders, climate activities, writer Louisa Adjoa Parker and the Bank of Dreams and Nightmares  to create original songs. They then worked with filmmaker Tom Hughes and animation leaders MakeSpace to produce music videos as visual accompaniment to the compositions.

Six powerful films were created, each a collaboration by the young people from the groups we work with – our regular groups, Hub Jams, Bridport Boombox and Lyme Boombox as well as young people at ASCape  and Bridport Youth Club HAF holiday club. As part of the Listen Up! project we were privileged to be able to screen Can I Live? a work by international touring theatre company Complicité..
