Music to support young people in challenging circumstances
All young people should have access to music opportunities through which they can develop musically, personally and socially. We actively seek new partnerships to ensure opportunities reach young people who are most in need including those that are disabled, experiencing poor mental health, NEET (Not In Education Employment or Training), and those that are economically or rurally disadvantaged.
Funding from Youth Music enables us to run inclusive creative music clubs, for all young people whatever their background or circumstances. We carefully consider pastoral care as well as musical progression, and support young people whatever their level of skill to participate, and young people of diverse abilities and backgrounds to work creatively together. Our sessions are run jointly by music leaders and pastoral support workers, to ensure young people receive the support they need to enjoy and benefit from the sessions.
B Sharp are offering free 1 to 1 and small group sessions to find your voice in a professional recording studio with a music producer, Harry Warren. These sessions are particularly useful for building confidence and for those young people that might prefer to work individually. If you are aged 11 to 25 and interested to know more please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07947 334 138.
